The short answer

This free 2027 planner is a printable set you build from eight pages: a cover with your name, the year on one page, 12 monthly calendars, yearly, quarterly and monthly goal sheets, a weekly planner and a monthly habit tracker. Print each part from its own page in Letter or A4, tick it off below and bind it in a ring binder.

What is in the free 2027 planner?

PartPagesWhat it is for
Cover1Your name, the year and a word for the year, in three designs
Year at a glance1All of 2027 on one page with US federal holidays, for booking trips and deadlines
Monthly calendars12One month per page with holidays in the boxes, notes lines and an optional habit strip
Goal sheets17A yearly goals page, 4 quarterly plans and 12 monthly goal sheets
Weekly planner52Top three priorities, to-dos and notes for each day of the week
Habit tracker12Up to 10 habits a month, one tick box a day

Print the cover, the year, the yearly goals and January first. Add the weekly pages every Sunday, so the planner never runs ahead of your real weeks. Want a daily page too? The daily planner prints one day with time blocks.

How do you use a paper planner to build habits?

  1. Choose one habit per month. Write it at the top of the monthly goal sheet, next to the moment it follows, such as "after breakfast". Plans that say when and where you will act had a medium-to-large effect on reaching goals across 94 tests.
  2. Tick the box straight after you do it. Recording progress on paper is one of the better-supported goal tools: across 138 studies, monitoring helped people reach goals, more so when progress was written down.
  3. Plan the week on Sunday. Copy this week's action from the quarterly plan onto the weekly page, so the big goal shows up as one small task.
  4. Review on the last day of the month. Count the ticks, write what worked and what to change, then keep the habit, make it smaller or pick the next one.
  5. Do not restart after a missed day. Leave the box empty and carry on. In a study of 96 adults, missing one day did not materially affect habit formation, and habits took 18 to 254 days to feel automatic.

How do you print and bind a planner at home?

Frequently asked questions

Is this 2027 planner really free?

Yes. Every page is free to print at home, with no sign-up and no email. Each printable opens on its own page with a print button, and everything you type stays in your browser on this device.

How many pages is the 2027 planner?

The full set is about 95 pages: a cover, the year on one page, 12 month pages, a yearly goals sheet, 4 quarterly plans, 12 monthly goal sheets, 12 habit trackers and 52 weekly pages. Most people print the first 30 or so now and the weekly pages as they go.

Can I print the planner on A4 paper?

Yes. Each printable has a Letter or A4 setting, and the cover and goal sheets fit either on one page. In the print dialog, keep scale at 100% and turn off headers and footers.

Can I save the planner as a PDF?

Yes. Press the print button on each page and choose Save as PDF as the printer. Save the files in the order of the checklist and you have a digital planner you can print later or annotate on a tablet.

How do I bind a printed planner?

A two-inch ring binder with a hole punch is the easiest, and lets you add pages. Disc binding lets you move pages around, and a copy shop can coil-bind the set in a few minutes. A clipboard works for just the current month.

Should I use a paper planner or an app?

Use whichever you will open every day. Paper is good for seeing a whole week or month at once and for ticking off habits by hand. An app is better for reminders. Many people use both: paper to plan, a phone reminder to start.

Sources and evidence

  1. Harkin et al. (2016): Does monitoring goal progress promote goal attainment? — Across 138 studies, monitoring progress improved goal attainment, more so when progress was physically recorded, as when you tick a box on paper.
  2. Gollwitzer and Sheeran (2006): Implementation intentions and goal achievement — Plans that say when and where you will act (if-then plans) had a medium-to-large effect on goal attainment across 94 tests; used for writing each habit next to its cue.
  3. Lally et al. (2010): How are habits formed — In 96 adults, the time for a daily behavior to feel automatic ranged from 18 to 254 days, and missing one day did not materially affect progress.
